A Tourist Visa for the Maldives is granted upon arrival if travelling for up to 30 days on an Australian Passport.
FLIGHTS
Airlines have the right to reschedule or cancel flights at anytime. Your flight e-tickets are correct at the time of ticketing, however, it is your responsibility to contact the airline prior to travel to ensure that the scheduled departure time has not changed so that you do not miss your flights. In the event of schedule changes or cancellations please speak with the airline directly. If you know that you will be arriving into your destination later than planned & you have an arrival transfer included, please call the tour operator emergency contact for advice. As per our terms and conditions, in the event of a flight/ticket being rescheduled or cancelled, TripADeal is not able to reverse this decision and the customer bears full responsibility for all costs or losses involved, including costs to re-book flight tickets, and/or transfers/accommodation etc. to catch up with the tour. In these circumstances; no refunds or free of charge alternate tour departure dates or other itinerary changes are permissible. In these instances, we recommend keeping all documentation and receipts for insurance purposes.

A Tourist Visa for the Maldives is granted upon arrival if travelling for up to 30 days on an Australian Passport. You no longer need a COVID-19 (PCR) test to enter Maldives. Check with your airline regarding COVID-19 (PCR) testing as they may still need evidence of a negative test. All travellers to Maldives must complete a Traveller Declaration no more than 96 hours before departure to and return from Maldives. Note, the Traveller Declaration needs to be complete within the 96 hour timeframe. Unvaccinated COVID-19 travellers entering Maldives under specific visa categories may still be required to undergo PCR testing and mandatory quarantine periods upon arrival.
GRATUITIES/TIPPING
Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip is 2000 rupees (approximately $10 AUD) per person, per day in Sri Lanka. This covers the guide/leader and the driver, and will be collected whilst on tour. In the Maldives, tipping is optional and at the customer's discretion.

no more than 96 hours before departure to and return from Maldives. Note, the Traveller Declaration needs to be complete within the 96 hour timeframe. Unvaccinated COVID-19 travellers entering Maldives under specific visa categories may still be required to undergo PCR testing and mandatory quarantine periods upon arrival.

Upon arrival in Male please look for the airport representative waiting for you at the exit door with the Adaaran Club Ranalhi Signboard. In case you are not able to locate them, please proceed to counter #B3, the representative will meet and escort you to the speedboat. The journey from the airport to the resort takes approximately 40 - 45 minutes.

MALDIVES GREEN TAX- need $48 USD =$76.45 AUD
Green Tax is levied on tourists who stay in tourist resorts, tourist hotels, and tourist vessels. It is levied at a flat rate of $12 United States dollars (USD) per person per day of stay and payable upon check-in. The green tax is applied as per the current government guidelines.
