Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
We entered at 8 Entrance 1 and it was terrific! Did the C track which was suggested by our Airbnb host who also is one of the ferry drivers. Crowds were crazy on our return walk at 12-1!

Šibenik, Croatia
Catch a bus to Vodice. It’s a gorgeous little town.
Or jump on the ferry and head to Zlarin or prvic. No cars on these islands. They are simply beautiful

Trogir, Croatia
Трогир небольшой и уютный хорватский курорт. По нему приятно гулять, так как он не такой многолюдный как топовые туристические точки.
Also,20 minutes from Split is an old town Trogir, which is lovely. Even staying in Trogir is cheaper than Split and can drive to Sibenik or Primosten from there.

If you like Mamma Mia then you need to visit the island of Vis, that's where Mamma Mia II was filmed. You can reached it by the Jadrolinija ferry service, with a vehicle or as foot passengers, from Split and pre-booking is not required. Stay in either Vis town or Komiža, but be sure to visit both (there is a bus service between them). On the island you can visit many filming locations (either by yourself or by tour)...there is a fun Mamma Mia boat trip, with singing and food that focuses on the movie. In addition, you have beautiful beaches, a nice selection of cafes and restaurants plus other tours available - including to the Blue Cave which is very close by.

Hvar, Croatia
Vrboska, little Venice. The best Croatian village feel.
Take a trip to Jelsa, and Bora Farm for wine tasting and traditional peka meal

Vis, Croatia
You can always take ferry to Vis, bus to Komiza and then do the tour from Komiza to Bisevo (where the blue cave is). From Komiza that is very short ride and you will not mind speed boat. But for this trip i would consider spending night(s) in Komiza nad Vis (which are both beautiful).

Just got back from a quick 2 days trip to Dubrovnik, which was great. Prior to going we used the tips on this site to help us get the best out of trip. So here are my observations that hopefully will help others.
We stayed at the Hotel More in Lapad. which is a 10 min bus ride away from the old town. the hotel also has the well known Cave Bar
Lapad is a lovely area with lots of bars and restaurants.
We used the 1 day Dubrovnik Pass (booked online), and at the bus stop at the end of the promenade in Lapad, there was a small kiosk, where we showed our paperwork and received a 24 hour paper ticket for the bus, (just tap and go after that.)
Bus no. 6 stops right outside the entrance to the walls.
The walk on the walls took approx 2 hours ( we took our time and took lots of photos and we are old!, then we pent some town in the main street and harbour area, taking in the sights ad scenery.
If anyone is interested in how Yugoslavia became the 6 different nations during the conflicts, there is a fantastic photo exhibition in the old town and you get a 20% discount with you Dubrovnik Pass.
We are foodies so we ate at the following restaurants:
Konoba Bonaco -fish
El pulpo (Lapad) - fish
Konoba Dubrava - Meat
Each meal cost approx 120 euros for both of us, included a fantastic fish platter for 2, litre of house wine, coffee
Konoba Dubrava was up in the hills and famous for it Peka dish, which is meat slow cooked for 3+ hours.
Uber or Bolt from Airport to hotel in Lapad - 32 euros approx
Depending where you eat and drink, prices equivalent to London prices, you can depending on you budget eat out for a lot less.
Hope this helps
