Take the Willer Tango Kuro-matsu train from Fukuchiyama to Amanohashidate. You get a 30min stopover at Oe station. From Amanohashidate lunch train to Nizhimaizuru.
22.10: Jidai Matsuri parade festival starts at 12:00 to 5pm. Starting at the Kyoto sento imperial palace down to Heian shrine. Take a taxi to Kurama village (25mins) in time for the 6pm start of kurama matsuri festival.
23.10: lunch at Nishiki market. Walk to fushimi inure taisha and Toji temple. Dinner at Kyomachi along the Kamogawa river for a traditional kyo-kaiseki.
24.10: Nintendo museum. Dinner eat at the tempura restaurant
25.10: arashiyama bamboo forest. Climb mt Iwata. Explore Gion geisha area: sannenzaka and pontocho. Evening: watch a geisha or maiko show.
