How the architecture they did to build their Acropolis and Parthenon out of Pure marble which weighs 200 tons per block is just amazing then we wandered back to the Hellenic Parliament and watch the change of the God and then we walked back to our hotel for a well owned risk cause our feet were killing us today is Wednesday we’re on our way to an current Canal cruise and walk around

Naxos, Greece
4.9.26 car hire Naxos downtown- Ioannou Paparigopoulou. Nissan Micro confirmation code. 9962498
7.9.26 10:35 am ferry from Naxos to Thira Santorini
Arrived in Naxos just putting walked for 20 minutes to our hotel got changed and went for a swim. Our beach is in Australia a lot nicer that was cold but it was nice and refreshing sat down and then we’ll go and have a look for something for dinner.
we walked into Naxos for dinner bought some beautiful pastries and and for dinner we had souvlaki sticks with a Greek salad that’s called sigirini which is different. It had avocado lettuce cheese and like a mustard dressing
The next day we went up to the Plaka beach for a swim and was sand blown by the wind and the water was 21 degrees then we drove to see Demeters temple and had a look around there. Look around a nice little town called Chalki which was very beautiful. Had a beautiful Restaurant as you seen the postcards and that with the grapevines overhanging that you could sit under so we had a drink there and an gelato Peter had a yoghurt honey and walnut and I had a pistachio before making our way back down the coast where we went for a swim and then went to a little fish and gyros shop where I had swordfish squid and prawns for dinner and Peter had a lemon chicken with like a mustardy lemon sauce and a salad which was absolutely beautiful and then yesterday we went drove up an hour up to Kouros to see the unfinished statue of marble it was absolutely mind blowing it was huge and then from there we saw a little fishing village which we drove down to called Appollona which we sat down and had beautiful lamb chops with salad and beautiful bread that you dip in the olive oil it was absolutely magnificent right on the harbour. It was a wonderful view and then we drove back and on the way back we stopped at the oldest Olive press in Naxos and watch them and they showed us how they did olives and how 5 kg only makes 1 L of olive oil which is just amazing and I bought some air-conditioner from there and it’s absolutely wonderful and then we went from there to MELANES O Georgis family restaurant and had an early tea. Pete had a lamb cooked in a clay pot which is like a lamb stew which he really loved. It was really nice and tender and I had cheese in pastry which was like a Greek mozzarella with mint in a kind of a fellow type of pastry was beautiful and then from there we made our way back down to the Port of Max or where we went for a walk up to see the temple of Apollo it was absolutely stunning how this temple doorway I’d say it would be is still standing. It’s three pieces and it’s just amazing after that we then drove back to the hotel and had nothing for dinner but an ice cream and some pistachio cannoli.
Then on Father’s Day, we drove to Naxos Harbour first thing in the morning and went for a swim in the water in the harbour which we really enjoyed. It was not so cold and then after that we came back for the hotel and had our breakfast and then came down to the beach and hired to sun lounges on the beach for the day and went for a swim and sat on the beach for a couple of hours before we went up to what was supposed to be a little marble village which wasn’t much so we ended up driving back down to Chalki to the little restaurant with them Vines hanging all over the restaurant and we had lunch there. We had barbecue lamb chops there weren’t as good as a little fishing village but still very beautiful and a great little place we had after lunch. We were blessed to see a great family. They must own the restaurant having a family luncheon. Everybody wishing the father a happy Father’s Day and giving him hugs and the women were coming out of the restaurant and wishing him a happy Father’s Day. It was really amazing to see the kids. The Greek family just getting so close and then we had an ice cream this time. Peter had just plain yoghurt and a cinnamon and honey gelato and I had a
stracciatella and shards of chocolate and pistachio gelato’s
Then we rushed back down the mountain to drop our hire car off hiring a car in Max wow was an absolute experience. You can’t really good. Do over 50 k’s because the roads are so narrow the car comes the other way. You actually have to pull off the road and like Queensland there’s no sides to the road. It was very interesting to manoeuvre when a bus or a truck came along. Pete did really well driving. No way I was going to drive. Pete drove and I navigated so we drove back. Drop the car hire off to a real arrogant Greek which was a real shame that the car place next door to him was very very nice and helped us cause that guy wasn’t there when we went to drop it off and then we walked back to our hotel and sat on the sun lounge just for a few more hours before going back and having a shower and then going down and getting a gyros for Pete for dinner and I got I got a peach for dinner which was beautiful. It’s huge it’s like a size of three tennis balls. It was huge that really juicy and yummy and now we’re sitting watching the sunset for the last night neck sauce on the beach chairs which for €23 to hire for the whole day.
Then tomorrow we get up and come for a swim have breakfast and then get a taxi to the port to catch our ferry to Santorini
And this morning I forgot to say being Father’s Day Kurt Aaron and Kirralee or FaceTime and wish Pete a happy Father’s Day which made his day
